Lawrence on CashFlow and Creativity

What do you want? Now this is very much a counter question to a lot of the spiritual material that is out there, but I’m kind of a counter person. That’s the fun for me. I love asking the questions that people don't want to hear. So part of thing is to start to ask yourself this simple question: What do you want? In that simple question “what do you want?” is all this fruit, all of this texture, all of this flavor, all of this juice! What do you want? One of the things that I want is I want everybody to get what they want. That’s what I want. My universe is really great as everybody gets more and more of what they want. It’s fun for me. If you’re hanging out with people who getting what they want, and feeling empowered and their power is being fully expressed, well, it’s a whole different experience. So, part of what we’re going to be doing is moving from the locus of power being out there some where, and "if only you did it right", then you would be granted good access to getting what you want. As far as I’m concerned, let’s just start asking questions – what do you want? And what’s getting in the way of that. it’s going to be some story, some mythology, some series of limiting ideas and beliefs, some box that you have around money that has been calling itself you. That’s been taking over your life. So what I want is to start to break out of that box. Additionally, part of what I want is for you to be around people who want you to get what they want!

Be unabashedly saying the C word – CASH. It’s a bad word, it’s four letters, it’s bad! So, what’s it like to start to be around the energy of cash. There are parallels between cash and empowerment, to getting what you want, to your belief systems about where power comes from. We want to turn those old fashioned ideas around.

A couple of other things just for those of you who haven’t spent personal time with me; I don’t have an agenda, I don’t care. You don’t have to believe what I believe, ‘cause I don’t even know what I believe in. And what I believe today is going to change tomorrow, so don’t pay much attention to what I believe in. If you hear me talking about what I believe really intently, just throw that into the fifteen percent of “who cares” – what I believe is irrelevant. I don’t need you to believe what I believe, it's irrelevant.. The world will not be a better place because everybody thinks like Lawrence. I don’t have to jam a bunch of camel-choking books and ideas down your throat – we’re here to have fun; explore and poke around, and be in an environment, using group energy to get more and more of what we want and to clear out whatever is getting in the way of that.

I used to be in old paradigm of “and we’ll really live our life some time in the future, when we can be happy." Whether that’s ascension or enlightenment or multi-millionaire, someday – one day in the future – then I can be happy – in heaven – or whatever your particular story is. It was the classic case of: “what do you mean I don’t look happy! I’m happy – I’m spiritual – of course I’m happy! I’m not breathing. I seem to have some problems releasing, but I’m happy!” enough of that, you don’t need more belief systems. Let’s look in a practical manner at “what’s really going on? And once I came to the place where I was free in my consciousness and in my own sublime enlightened space – I was like, okay that’s cool and beautiful, but now what? And the" now what?" for me came to what can I create? How can I begin to express my radical ideas about life, cash, money, sexuality, pleasure and fun? Of course, that's exactly what I am doing now.

So, a couple of principles, a couple of things we’ll be looking at. One is the relationship between cash and creativity. When I look at the physical universe and what it is doing, we discover that we are in an infinitely expanding universe that is expanding infinitely, and that there are universes outside of our universe that are also expanding infinitely, that may have an entirely different physics to them. That’s the latest scientific understanding. So, that means all the rules and laws that we know here may be completely different in an entirely different universe – in another physical universe. So, there’s this infinite expansion, expanding infinitely and this infinite, boundless creative expression of which human beings are one tiny part of. I’m into that. I love the way that things keep shifting and expanding and changing and growing and … I mean, things that were literally taboos twenty years ago are just common place right now. Whatever. Part of mundane life – ubiquitous. Computers were this thing – evil, taking over the world – and itwasn ’t that long ago. That which was horrible, dangerous, bad, wrong, evil, yesterday – it just goes hand in hand with life today. That’s the nature of reality. Constant, massive, energetic expansion. Change. And so typically because our cultural and religious mythologies are so far behind this creative outburst, everything that we don’t know and understand is evil and bad and wrong until it becomes ubiquitous and then it’s like, oh, I guess it has to be good, I guess it’s okay now. But, those of us studying cash flow, we are on the cutting edge of that. If you’re doing any work in consciousness and creativity and expansion and pushing the boundaries, you’re on the cutting edge of infinity and the unknown – that’s life. That’s why I don’t have a bunch of rules and laws for you, I don’t have a lot to tell you – oh, you got to do this to make money, or be free, or be happy. … I don’t know what's true for you. Who knows? Whatever the rule and law is today is going to change tomorrow. So is your life. Infinite expansion. So, what we want to do is start to learn, conceptually, how to ride that wave of the unknown, the wave of change. Because life is nothing but boundless, expansive creation. And cash is a reflection of that creation because in our universe, on our planet in this physical dimension, it’s all about cash.

I laugh about this – go and buy a car with abundance. I really like that Mercedes, I know it’s your $350,000 model and I like it – I’ve got an entire bag of abundance. I’m an abundant person, make no mistake, I’m abundant, I’m not joking. Is there a tax on that? Take it out of my sack of abundance. Of course, without cash, I don't have a new car. On our planet – it’s cash. What I’m gong to do in A Course in Freedom, is call to attention the paradigms and paradoxes and spiritual conundrums we find ourselves in that have nothing to do with anything. And, starting to learn and see more clearly and precisely, what’s actually happening in this life. Well, for starters, guess what, we live on a planet of cash, okay? Basically, one way or another life here costs money. You can’t pay with abundance – you can't pay with prosperity. You can’t pay with unified consciousness, or enlightenment. You can pay with cash – well, credit card or check too. Whatever you eat, will cost money.

So, part of what I want you to start to pay attention to is that the blood supply of life is cash. Now, that’s arbitrary! It’s completely arbitrary, it’s not a rule and law – the infinite consciousness – God does not give a hoot about cash – it’s arbitrary. We could say it’s pens. It’s just the arbitrary currency thing that we trade – is cash– why? The system of money evolved out of very simple reasons – I sell pelts – little fox pelts – you sell tepees – I need a tepee – how many fox pelts is a tepee worth? Who determines – whether it’s four and a half fox pelts – I’ll have to start cutting my fox pelts? What if I say, well, that’s ridiculous - don’t want your tepee – I want some maize and a tepee – that’s six fox pelts – Well, if you move in space and time and you have to carry all your fox pelts to get what you want, things become very cumbersome. What if I just want a loaf of bread – well, that’s a tail – just give me a fox tail – because my currency would be fox pelts.

So, at some point we had to create a symbol in order to exchange and trade goods and services – we have to create something that is a symbol of energy. Now, when I say energy, it has a concrete basis. I’m not talking about energy in a woo-woo kind of way – I’m talking about I went out and I hunted and I caught this fox – and I skinned it and I cleaned it and I tanned that hide – and that was my energy to create this thing – and now, I want to start to turn this – to convert this energy into something else that I want. So I have choice – and I don’t have to carry 200,000 fox pelts on my back while I move across the country, I need to create a symbol of my energy. And that symbol is cash. And cash is arbitrary. And if you look at currency through the ages, at some point it was gold – at some point it was rocks – it was different carvings – it was stamps – it can be absolutely anything – it’s just what our world has come up with as a general thing – as paper with different numerical values on it that represent energy – potential energy – why is it potential energy? Because I can theoretically do whatever I want with it – I can take that and convert it from one thing into something else. There’s going to be a lot of questions in this and we’re going to explore this for a while. So, just know that you’ll have plenty of time – you’re going to be going through confusion and uncertainty from time to time – you’re in the right place. Part of what our work is going to be is absolutely, radically turning around how you look at that stuff that we call cash – that symbol. I’m not going to give you rules and laws, I’m not going to tell you how to do it, I’m not even going to tell you what to do with it. We’re going to expand our ability to understand it, receive it, make space for it, tap into it, eat it, chew it, digest it, do whatever you want. The more you understand it at the most fundamental level, the more you have the experience of freedom.
